Concepts and chains

Rusa is the language and writing system used in Yveon. It has no verbs. Instead, concepts can be chained together to imply actions being taken.

æon æz (æon æzh)
an approach; waves
→ the waves are approaching

The Rusan language has two types of chaining: elaboration and hierarchy. For hierarchy, the word é (ve) is used. These chains work from right to left. Elaborative chains define a base concept more sharply. These chains work from left to right.

hierarchical chain

íéyíhsésel ter veyíhsvesel ter)
self ← twin ← sleep; forest
→ my twin sleeps in the forest

elaborative chain

ktiræsin (ktiræsin)
wall / border / division + circle
→ circumference

Alphabet

The Rusan alphabet contains twelve base letters that can be altered with dots, chaining and combining glyphs. Each letter has a significant meaning on its own; all vowels are single letter words and all consonants are modifiers for those words.

I Í IÍ E Æ O A É Y L D T B P F V U S K X R G Z N M H

Counting all possible alterations, Rusa has nine base concepts:

i (i) infinity, undefinable
í (í) self
(ií) consciousness, awareness, perception

e (e) connection
æ (æ) time, wave, manifestation
o (o) love
a (a) order

é (ve) hierarchy
y (y) split, two, duality

The consonants, which modify the base concepts, are also derived from seven other glyphs:

l (l) (filters)
d (d) (consolidates)
t (t) (necessitates)

b (b) (expands)
p (p) (improves)

f (f) (blurs)
v (v) (fills)
u (u / w) (replaces)

s (s) (abstracts, obscures)
k (k) (distantiates)
x (x) (negates)

r (r) (collects)
g (gh) (multiplies)
z (zh) (pluralizes)

n (n) (dimensionalizes)
m (m) (unifies)

h (h) (animates)

By combining these letters, words are created that signify a middle ground or a combination of all individual meanings.

i (infinity) + v (fills)iv (totality)

Contractions

When chained together, some letters melt into each other.

(a + ve) becomes as (as)

æé (æ + ve) becomes æs (æs)

(r + ve) becomes e (e)

Two of these contractions are present in the name of the city Æstereon.

æéteréon veterveon)æstereon stereon)
wind ← forest ← place
→ City of the Forest of the Wind
